Jubilee students embrace the season of giving

This week, we're taking you around the Jubilee campuses to give you a snapshot of how our students embrace the season of giving. We think you'll be proud of how these young leaders, with the guidance of their teachers, have worked together to make this time of year a little better for our communities.

Community Food Drive
The Jubilee-San Antonio Student Council held a food drive to benefit the King of Kings Lutheran Church community. We were able to visit with the students as they were sorting and bagging the donations. Click HERE to view a video from the visit.

SOCK-TOBER Sock Drive
Students at Jubilee-Harlingen planned and conducted a SOCK-TOBER donation drive, collecting new socks and donating them to their local homeless shelter, Loaves and Fishes. During the drop-off of two large boxes of new socks, student leaders representing the school's Student Council and National Junior Honor Society were able to tour the facility and learn other ways they can assist their community.

Coats for Kids
Jubilee-Wells Branch held a coat drive in collaboration with the Junior League of Austin's Coats for Kids city-wide event to provide winter coats to children in need. They collected 150 gently-used coats.

Teddy Bears for Cancer
Jubilee-San Antonio's Rotary Club is conducting a drive for donations of new teddy bears. The teddy bears will be delivered to Santa Rosa Children's Hospital in San Antonio to be given to Cancer patients.

Caroling Fun
Students from Jubilee-Destiny's Destiny Dazzlers and Destiny Choir visited the Mirasoles Adult Day Care in Harlingen--singing carols, visiting with the residents, and spreading some Christmas cheer.

Decorating Doors
Safety patrols at Jubilee-Highland Park are collecting a variety of decorations. They'll visit a local nursing home in San Antonio to decorate residents' doors.
